Welcome to our town

With stunning landscapes, plenty of adventure opportunities, and a great selection of independent businesses on the High Street, Harlech is a perfect spot to visit and explore

The High Street

Our high street is absolutely full of one-off finds from small independent businesses. From cafe’s and restaurants to interior shops, antique finds, a pottery, cheese market, and a grocery delicatessen.

Harlech Beach

A large, sandy and peaceful beach surrounded by dunes, Harlech Beach provides a four-mile stretch of pristine golden sand, with stunning views of the Snowdonia mountain range. The beach is backed by grassy dunes.

Harlech Castle

A designated World Heritage Site, Harlech castle seems to grow naturally from the rock on which it is perched. Like an all-seeing sentinel, it gazes out across land and sea, keeping a watchful eye over Snowdonia and nearby seas. Edward I built Harlech in the late 13th century to fulfil this very role. It was one of the most formidable of his 'iron ring' of fortresses
